New Members
New IBF members are invoiced for the full calendar year if joining by 31st March. All subsequent new members joining after 31st March will pay the pro-rata amount based on the quarter in which they join (for example, joining on lst April means that you pay three-quarters of the annual fee, as you will if you join on lst May or lst June, but if you join on lst July, you pay half the annual fee and so on).
Membership Renewal
Fees are invoiced by 15th December for the following year’s membership and payments are requested to be made no later than 15th January. If you wish to terminate your membership for the following calendar year, please do so in writing no later than 30th November, or you will be invoiced.
Whilst we value the participation of as many members as possible for each event, there is a limit to the number of attendees that can attend per company at the ‘member’ fee, as follows:
BOARD MEMBER: attend for free (with the exception of the Christmas party, when they will pay the same fee as members).
PATRON: up to five attendees per event for free (with the exception of Members’ Dinners where one Patron may attend for free, and up to four guests may attend at the standard members’ rate)
CORPORATE: 2 attendees per event
SME: 1 attendee per event
INDIVIDUAL: 1 attendee per event
For events that have no restriction on numbers, additional attendees from each member company may attend, but they will be charged according to Item III. For events that are restricted with numbers, additional attendees may register for the event and be put on a waiting list; they will be informed one week in advance of the event if there is space for them to attend.
The IBF charges a per annum membership fee for the benefit of its members and to reduce individual out of pocket costs at every event throughout the year. We have established member rates for all “member-only” events and member / non-member rates for “open” events such as seminars and workshops. In the event a member would like additional attendees to represent their company, the non-member fee will apply.
All events are offered for the benefit of our members, and as they involve a huge amount of time, effort and cost on our part, we kindly ask that all cancellations for event attendance are made no later than 24 hours before the start of an event. If you cancel within the 24 hour period, you will be charged accordingly for the member / non-member fee. In the event of extenuating circumstances such as sickness, last-minute meetings, or travel, we ask that you arrange for an alternate to attend in your place (such alternate must, of course, be of an appropriate standing in the company to meet with IBF membership requirements). A no-show after confirmation of attendance, and without prior warning, will result in a member / non-member fee charge.
For all seminars, workshops, and speaker lunches and dinners, the IBF will provide free of charge, a lectern, microphone, projector and screen, and laptop. All other equipment including a Mac, video equipment, speakers, etc., must be provided by the speakers themselves.
All members may have up to five employees of their company listed on the IBF mailing list, but all such employees must be of suitable seniority in the company to meet with IBF membership requirements. Whilst everyone listed on the IBF mailing list will receive all correspondence and other information, the rules about charges for attendance at events under III above, apply.
